Job Title: Procurement SpecialistJob Description
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, supplies, equipment, and services, while adhering to international directives and industry standards in automotive manufacturing.
Responsibilities
+ Identify and qualify new suppliers, especially for MRO parts.
+ Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to meet cost targets.
+ Ensure supplier documentation is current and compliant.
+ Analyze requisitions and issue purchase orders.
+ Maintain inventory levels and prevent stockouts.
+ Collaborate with Engineering and Materials teams to meet specifications and timelines.
+ Monitor vendor performance and resolve delivery issues.
+ Approve invoices and maintain purchase records.
+ Drive process improvements and review service contracts.
+ Comply with safety, environmental, and ethical standards.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of relevant experience
+ Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
+ Proficient in MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in automotive manufacturing preferred
Work Environment
The work environment includes a shift from 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday. Training is provided for 2-3 weeks, and the position starts as soon as possible. The role may require occasionally lifting or moving up to 25 lbs and involves standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands. Vision requirements include close, distance, and color vision. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
