Job Overview:
The Procurement Representative will provide category support and engage in Total Delivered Cost (TDC) sourcing activity within the Equipment Category. This position will report to a Procurement Manager within the Operational Excellence organization. The strong performer can expect further career advancement with Ecolab and will have the opportunity to move into other procurement and supply chain leadership roles within the organization.

What You Will Do:

Learn and apply Total Delivered Cost sourcing process tools and skills to execute sourcing initiativesWorking with Business partners, engage supplier organizations to evaluate tail spend equipment requests for pricingWorks with business sales to address questions & needs surrounding suppliers, markets, materials, and services, providing feedback on alternative suppliers as appropriate.Effectively communicates updates to internal stakeholdersEngage with master data team to approve pricing changes as requiredEscalates equipment requests to category manager based on volume and supplier mixManages processes critical to the efficient functioning of the procure-to-pay processCommunicates effectively with supply planning, business partners, or other appropriate functions on purchasing requests, ensuring compliance to SLA’s

Minimum Qualifications:  

Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or Supply Chain5+ years of experience in master data, procurement, shared services, finance, supply chain operations or related field.Experience with managing and delivering multiple projects, tasks, and initiatives simultaneouslyProficient in MS Office suiteBasic SAP knowledgeStrong communication and interpersonal skillsQuick learnerAbility to work independently and as part of a team.Demonstrable problem-solving aptitude and analytical skills, with good attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:  

Advanced degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or Finance.  Or in process of completing an advanced degreeDemonstrated history of leadership, teamwork, and project management skillsExperience in SAP or other Source to Pay systems in a procurement or shared services environmentExperience in sourcing Direct Procurement or supply chain management experienceExperience in Procurement or SourcingExperience in equipment partsDemonstrated competitive drive and strong orientation for results and achievementDemonstrated professionalism and strong presence in interactions with othersDemonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
