How will you make an impact?
This position is an independent contributor who supports and enables the Division in meeting their operations, innovation and financial targets by encouraging the required performance for assigned projects and categories. Operates in a regulated network of Division business colleagues, suppliers, Category Management members and relevant COE organization.
Scale of ResponsibilitiesIdentifies supplier capability requirements and presents suppliers for internal qualification process and client approval and leads projects that improve supplier spend performanceSupports divisional footprint initiatives outsourcing vs insourcing (both Operations and R&D) including realization of local/regional supply base solutionsTranslates divisional requirements for (future) supplier capabilities and supplier performance to Category Management Team and divisional SQE teamSupports Supplier supply capacity management by conducting capacity assessments and collaborate with the Category Management Teams to expand required supply options as well as supply flexibilityCoordinates business projects, collects forecasts from Supply Chain, processes POs, resolves supplier payment issues, maintains supplier master dataTechnical ResponsibilitiesCollects supplier (technical) capability requirements for current and future product portfolio as input for supplier scoutingCollects Division business requirements and assures compliance to regulatory requirementsServes as issue resolution contact for Procurement within the Division and supplies to divisional procurement metrics for business reviewsServes as the point of contact and ensure the implementation of Enterprise Processes such as Supplier Quality, Supplier Risk and Supplier ManagementEnsures compliance for indirect materials, as well as link with Distributed team for policies and proceduresLeadership ResponsibilitiesRepresents Procurement in NPI projects and coordinate supply activities with x-functional division team as well as with Category Managers. Conduct all related sourcing project management activities (including project milestone/ gate pass activities)Partners with Corporate, R&D, Engineering to support projects and handle annual value improvements which drives competitive advantageUses ‘scouting approach’ to influence R&D and Commercial partners earlier in NPI process, build product pipeline (LCM), support product platformingHow will you get here?
EducationUniversity degree (Mechanics/Electronics/Business/Industrial Engineering) or a combination of education and experience that demonstrate the required skills
ExperienceMinimum 5+ years of procurement/sourcing/supply chain management experience, preferably in Pharmaceutical Companies with high diversity, low volumes, in a highly regulated environment.
Minimum 5 years project management experience including procurement and supply chain related projectsExperience working in a pharmaceutical or similar regulated environmentTraining in specialized Purchasing skills (such as Perspective/NEVI) preferredHigh level of proficiency with core Procurement skills (financials, sourcing)Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesStrong interpersonal communicative skills, with the ability to understand and influence without power through partnership and collaboration.Ability to establish relationships internally and externallyExcellent English language skills (verbal and in writing),Proficient in ERP systems, Excel, and other MS Office skillsProblem solving and analytical skillsKnowledge and training in NPI and NPI processes and PLM processesMust be proactive and self-starting with a focus on continuous quality and performance improvementAdept at case development and presentationsEach one of our 130,000 extraordinary minds has an outstanding story to tell.
