Procurement Manager

Description

The Procurement Category Manager is responsible for developing and executing category strategies for healthcare operations and core

service vendors that directly impact medical cost, operational performance, and member experience.

 

This role leads end to end sourcing, negotiations, contract execution (ranging from $1M-$5M+), including commercial structuring, benchmarking, and negotiations. The Category Manager partners closely with business leadership to drive strategic value, enhance

performance, support transformation initiatives, and ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Supplier Management: Identifying, evaluating, and interviewing potential suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. They maintain a database of approved vendors and monitor performance KPIs.Negotiation & Contracting: Leading negotiations for contract terms, pricing, and service levels. They manage the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting to signing and renewing.Cost Control & Strategy: Developing procurement strategies to reduce costs, such as bulk purchasing or finding alternative vendors, while aligning with budgetary constraints.Purchasing Operations: Approving requisitions and purchase orders, overseeing inventory management, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.Risk Management & Compliance: Ensuring all purchases adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and sustainability standards.Relationship Management: Cultivating strong partnerships with suppliers to secure favorable terms and ensure reliability.Team Leadership: Hiring, training, and overseeing procurement specialists and junior staff.

This is a Permanent position based out of Honolulu, HI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $73.56/hr.
