Overview
The Procurement Manager is responsible for the strategic sourcing and ongoing management of store use supplies and national-level service contracts that keep GPM's store network operational. This role owns the end-to-end procurement lifecycle: scoping requirements, managing RFPs, negotiating national vendor agreements, forecast and demand planning, coordinating vendor dispatch and work order execution across the store footprint, overseeing invoice approval and scope compliance, and driving vendor performance. In addition, the Procurement Manager is responsible for driving cost savings initiatives in procurement spend. The Procurement Manager reports directly to the Director of Procurement within the Facility Department. They are essential in leading the Procurement Associate team. They will preferably have five to seven years of experience related to procurement, purchasing, inventory control, process design, and improvement.
Salary: $60k
Responsibilities
+ Support the Procurement needs of the organization for both supplies and contracted services with a focus on Operational Excellence.
+ Own the full RFP lifecycle for national service categories — scope development, bid solicitation, vendor evaluation, award, and contract execution.
+ Drive profitability by identifying cost-saving opportunity, manage budgets and reduce spend risks.
+ Manage national service vendor relationships across categories such as landscaping, snow, garbage, pest control, fire and life safety systems, grease trap cleanings, and hood cleanings.
+ Partner with applicable departments to devise standards for documents and processes to ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
+ Oversee work order coordination between stores, field operations, and national vendors — ensuring timely dispatch and completion.
+ Oversee and administer invoicing process by ensuring scope compliance, timeliness, and accuracy.
+ Maintain the national vendor network — onboarding, compliance documentation (COI, W-9, background checks), and offboarding underperformers.
+ Assess and reevaluate existing contracts to control spending and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
+ Continuously evaluate market and data for unfavorable events then prepare control
+ Administer service-level agreements (SLAs) and track vendor performance metrics (response time, first-time fix rate, NTE (Not to Exceed) compliance, customer satisfaction).
+ Resolve vendor escalations and store-level service issues in partnership with Operations and Facilities teams.
+ Led procurement activity as needed for special projects.
+ Ensure use and compliance with company policy, procedures, and resources.
This is remote position that works a minimum of 40 hours a week Monday through Friday. Anticipate occasional on call nights and weekends, typically seasonal, to support the business needs of Operations.
Qualifications
+ + Bachelor’s degree from accredited University or College.
+ Experience leading a team of professionals.
+ Procurement of indirect category supplies and services, for a large-scale corporation operating multiple business enterprises.
+ Understanding of facility maintenance processes and business needs.
+ Procurement experience in C-store / restaurant equipment.
+ Experience in implementing procurement programs and processes.
+ Experience in commercial construction and remodeling.
+ Experience with the design and implementation of ESG Standards (Environmental / Social / Governance).
+ Experience with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO’s).
+ Curiosity to seek out the “root cause” and devise short/long term resolutions.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
+ Strong analytical and organizational skills.
+ Understands budgets, cost structures, and ROI to manage the total cost of ownership.
+ Ability to draft, review, manage legal terms, and compliance with contracts.
+ Proven working experience in Procurement / Purchasing as a Manager, Buyer.
+ Talent in negotiations and networking.
+ Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
+ Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Prior experience working remotely.
+ Ability to travel (15%) for vendor / product evaluations, store / construction site visits, and GPM meetings / and events.
+ Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Procurement Manager Certification
+ Working knowledge of PDI Enterprise, Zip, Service Now Nuvolo, Smartsheet, and SharePoint
