Procurement Manager
Job Title: Procurement Manager Job Description We are seeking a dynamic Procurement Manager to lead and develop our U.S. Operational Procurement teams, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and industry-specific compliance standards. This role involves strategic oversight of procurement operations, including vendor management, process excellence, and strategic alignment with global procurement goals. Responsibilities + Supervise and develop U.S. Operational Procurement teams, ensuring alignment with corporate procurement policies and compliance standards. + Ensure proper staffing levels and required skill sets to support procurement operations in a regulated pharmaceutical environment. + Coach team leaders, establish performance goals, oversee skill development, and create individualized development plans. + Build a strong operational procurement organization with clear responsibilities and robust backup structures. + Provide strategic oversight of procurement operations, including vendor onboarding, master data governance, catalog optimization, and contract administration. + Manage data analytics and reporting processes to ensure accuracy, transparency, and timely delivery of procurement KPIs. + Ensure consistent execution of Service Level Agreements and provide clear reporting to internal stakeholders. + Maintain up-to-date documentation of procurement processes in accordance with pharma compliance and audit requirements. + Act as the primary contact for internal and external auditors regarding procurement processes. + Ensure full compliance with corporate procurement guidelines and quality standards. + Translate strategic goals of the Global Procurement function into operational execution. + Collaborate closely with Global Business Services and Global Procurement Centers of Excellence. + Lead the implementation of the target operating model for procurement in the U.S. organization. + Participate in fit-gap analyses, coordinate training resources, and support change management activities. + Partner with global project teams to resolve open issues and support hyper care and stabilization phases. + Deliver operational KPIs and participate in governance meetings. + Monitor procurement processes to identify risks, inefficiencies, and compliance gaps. + Generate and drive process improvement initiatives. + Ensure proactive issue resolution through regular engagement with local company contacts. + Support and participate in cross-functional and cross-regional projects. Essential Skills + 5+ years of experience in supply chain or procurement management. + Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. + Strong understanding of procurement operations in a regulated environment. + Experience with SAP and FI modules, ARIBA, and ServiceNow. + Advanced negotiation skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or related field. + Minimum of eight years of professional experience in procurement or supply chain. + Experience in a leadership or people management role for at least three years. + Experience transitioning procurement activities into a Shared Service Center environment. + Demonstrated ability to support process standardization and optimization. Work Environment This is a 100% onsite role with working hours from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. The role involves managing a team of 4+ employees, with potential for extension. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Melrose Park, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $84.13 - $89.42/hr.
