Responsibilities Represent the company in negotiating contracts and formulating supplier agreements and programsProvide training, customer service and direction to locations that utilize the materials, products or servicesDirect and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying and distributing materials, equipment, and suppliesLocate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them to determine product availability and terms of salesPrepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipmentDevelop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.Maintain records of goods ordered and receivedAnalyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availabilityResolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliersPrepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costsOther duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelors degree in business, finance or related field or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum of three years of progressive work experience managing purchasing and procurement functions from requisition through disbursement cycleStrong managerial skillsKnowledge of state procurement practicesDemonstrated expertise in drafting and analyzing Request For Proposals, Request For Qualifications, Request For Informations, contracts, business documents and/or other agreements while assuring compliance with applicable laws, guidelines and contract termsExperience in negotiating purchasing terms with existing and prospective suppliers About our Line of Business BrightSpring Health Services provides complementary home- and community-based pharmacy and provider health solutions for complex populations in need of specialized and/or chronic care.
