Responsibilities + Represent the company in negotiating contracts and formulating supplier agreements and programs + Provide training, customer service and direction to locations that utilize the materials, products or services + Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying and distributing materials, equipment, and supplies + Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales + Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment + Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.Maintain records of goods ordered and received + Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability + Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers + Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs + Other duties as assigned Qualifications + Bachelors degree in business, finance or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience + Minimum of three years of progressive work experience managing purchasing and procurement functions from requisition through disbursement cycle + Strong managerial skills + Knowledge of state procurement practices + Demonstrated expertise in drafting and analyzing Request For Proposals, Request For Qualifications, Request For Informations, contracts, business documents and/or other agreements while assuring compliance with applicable laws, guidelines and contract terms + Experience in negotiating purchasing terms with existing and prospective suppliers About our Line of Business BrightSpring Health Services provides complementary home- and community-based pharmacy and provider health solutions for complex populations in need of specialized and/or chronic care.
