Description
We are looking for a dedicated Facilities Manager to oversee operations in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role requires a proactive leader who can supervise maintenance teams and ensure the efficient upkeep of facilities and resources. The ideal candidate will have a license in Electric, plumbing or HVAC. THIS IS 100% ONSITE.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise maintenance staff to ensure the proper care, cleaning, and upkeep of campus facilities and grounds.
• Collaborate with personnel at additional locations to assess and address maintenance and safety requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities, grounds, and equipment to identify and resolve safety issues.
• Assist in organizing and supporting the physical setup for special events and school programs, which may occasionally require weekend work.
• Solicit and review bids from external contractors, ensuring quality standards are met for work performed on facilities and grounds.
• Oversee the distribution and completion of maintenance work orders, determining when contractor services are necessary.
• Maintain accurate inventories of furniture, classroom equipment, tools, and both maintenance and cleaning supplies.
• Develop expertise in key physical plant systems, including irrigation, fire and safety systems, electrical, plumbing, filtration, and gas systems.
• Manage the school’s fleet of vehicles, ensuring regular maintenance and addressing service needs promptly.
• Reconcile procurement purchases and receipts with the Business Office to ensure accurate record-keeping.
Requirements
• Minimum of three years’ experience in supervision or facility management.
• Proficiency in corporate procurement processes, including purchase orders and buying workflows.
• Strong knowledge of contract negotiation and vendor management.
• Familiarity with facility maintenance systems, such as electrical, plumbing, and safety equipment.
• Experience managing inventories and tracking supplies.
• Ability to supervise teams effectively and coordinate across multiple locations.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Availability to work occasional weekends for special events or programs.
