Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics team as a Procurement Engineer Staff at our Eglin Air Force Base, Florida site. Our team is responsible for coordinating with Sourcing, Operations, Design Engineering, the Supply Base and Industry experts to facilitate the design, production, test and qualification of aerospace and defense products.

What You Will Be Doing
• Analyzes technical data, designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and parts/equipment availability.

• Investigate and recommend potential suppliers based on assessments of response to specifications, costs, inspection of facilities, and historical performance.

• Facilitate technical trade-offs and standardization that may lead to more economical procurement. Recommends design changes to mitigate production issues.

• Lead teams of Supplier and internal staff in collaboratively solving problems in Producibility, Quality, Inspection, Cost, Mistake-Proofing, Test, Reliability and Affordability.

Basic Qualifications:
The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:

- 9 years of professional experience with any combination of the following skills: aerospace supply chain, aerospace engineering, lean six sigma.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
Desired Skills:
The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the other candidates:

- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline
- Project management experience working with a prime supplier or major sub-tier supplier within the aerospace/defense industry.
- Understanding of aerospace manufacturing and fabrication processes; prior experience working in production operations within an aerospace environment is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written skills; Ability to develop relationships with Supplier personnel and effectively communicate with personnel at all levels; Ability to deliver presentations to management
- Self-directed with excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
- Experience utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles; experience performing Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) analysis; Green/Black Belt certification is a plus.
- Experience using SAP Enterprise Software; Understanding of material movements within a MRP environment
- Knowledge in one or more of the following: Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures (LMAP), Product Data Management (PDM), JSF Data Library (JDL), Quality Assurance Document System (QADS), Shop floor Manager (SFM).

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
