**Your role and responsibilities**
As a Procurement Operations Professional, you will support various procurement activities and tasks that are not sourcing specific, ensuring maximum value add is attained. This role requires a strong knowledge of global procurement practices and the ability to apply procurement business techniques to understand and satisfy client needs.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Support Global Procurement Teams: Interface and support IBM's country, regional, and/or worldwide procurement teams and processes, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
• The Procurement Deal Desk Professional is data-driven professional who supports strategic sourcing teams by developing modeling for complex deals. This role focuses on quantitative analysis to optimize supplier negotiations, evaluate cost structures, and drive data-informed procurement decisions.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with the ability to organize data for insights including but not limited to:
* Building detailed cost models, pricing simulations, and scenario analyses to support sourcing strategies.
* Perform sensitivity analyses and forecasting to evaluate supplier proposals.
* Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable models
* Present outcomes and recommendations to sourcing teams and business stakeholders.
* Collaborate with finance and business units as needed
**Required technical and professional expertise**
• Exposure to Global Procurement Practices: Strong knowledge of global procurement practices, including business operations, to support various procurement activities and tasks.
• The Procurement Deal Desk Professional is data-driven professional who supports strategic sourcing teams by developing modeling for complex deals. This role focuses on quantitative analysis to optimize supplier negotiations, evaluate cost structures, and drive data-informed procurement decisions.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:
* Experience in procurement analytics, financial modeling, or deal desk operations.
* Strong proficiency in Excel (including advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc)
* Excellent quantitative, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise:
* Familiarity with ERP systems (Ariba) a plus
* SAP Ariba knowledge a plus
