A Procurement Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing procurement data, spending patterns, and supplier performance to optimize purchasing decisions and drive cost savings. This role combines analytical, financial, and procurement knowledge to provide data-driven insights that support strategic sourcing decisions and track financial performance metrics.


Key Responsibilities:

Analyze procurement data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for cost savingsDevelop and maintain procurement analytics dashboards and reportsMonitor and evaluate supplier performance metricsConduct spend analysis and create detailed spending reportsTrack and analyze productivity measures and financial KPIsPerform cost-benefit analyses for procurement decisionsCreate financial models to forecast procurement spendingMonitor budget variances and provide explanations for deviationsIdentify and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement operationsSupport strategic sourcing initiatives with data-driven recommendationsValidate and maintain data quality in procurement systemsCollaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirementsPrepare regular and ad-hoc financial reports for managementAssist in process improvement initiatives through data analysis


What will you need to succeed?

Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or related fieldAt least 6 months/1 year of experience in data analysis, preferably in procurement or supply chainProven experience in tracking and analyzing productivity metricsStrong proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracy


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with ERP systems and procurement software is desirableExperience with SQL and data managementKnowledge of programming languages (Python, R)Understanding of machine learning and predictive analyticsFinancial skills as a: Budget management and tracking, cost-benefit analysis, financial forecasting, variance analysis, productivity metrics development and monitoring, ROI calculation and anaysis, etc.

The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical capabilities with procurement knowledge and financial expertise to drive data-informed decision-making in the organization's procurement function.
