Job Title: Procurement Consultant
Job Description

The Procurement Consultant will be responsible for managing a portfolio of previously negotiated utility construction contracts and negotiating new contracts as needed. The role requires collaboration with team members to gather data related to construction markets, negotiate rates, and provide administrative support for contract-related activities. The consultant will also be involved in sourcing duties, working closely with project teams to understand sourcing needs, supporting requests for proposals, and analyzing supplier proposals.

ResponsibilitiesManage portfolio of previously negotiated utility construction contracts and negotiate new contracts.Collaborate with team members to gather data related to construction markets and negotiate rates.Provide administrative support for contract-related activities including audit remediation and dispute resolution.Collaborate with project teams to understand sourcing needs and ensure alignment with project objectives.Support business partner requests for proposals (RFPs) for utility construction projects.Analyze supplier proposals, pricing, and terms to provide recommendations for contract awards.Serve as the subject matter expert in the development of sourcing strategy associated with procurement needs.Apply negotiation techniques to sourcing and contracting objectives.Manage supplier performance, contract compliance, and risk to support category management strategies.Lead cross-functional teams and direct activities associated with sourcing and contracting efforts.Procure goods and services with high value or complex requirements.Assess business requirements and match procurement plans accordingly.Execute sourcing strategies based on category manager guidance and best practices.Assist Category Managers with category strategy development.Leverage market, supplier, and spend analyses to inform category strategies and competitive solicitations.Coordinate and lead cross-functional category teams during sourcing events.Perform contract administration work related to sourcing events.Develop negotiating strategy and lead negotiations.Write summaries and details for contracts including pricing, business requirements, and terms.Establish effective relationships with business partners and suppliers.Coordinate with suppliers and partners on the delivery of high-value equipment and materials.Manage contract compliance and administration for high-value equipment and materials.Leverage contract knowledge to mitigate risks and maximize contract value.Essential SkillsProcurementContract negotiationSupplier performancePricingSupplier managementContract administrationAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in business, accounting, finance, supply chain, or related field.5 years of relevant work experience including experience with cross-functional teams.Supply chain category management experience preferred, especially in utility, manufacturing, or construction.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.Ability to lead multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to develop and evolve category management processes.Work Environment

The role is based onsite at the New Albany, OH office, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The dress code is business casual.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41.14 - $41.14/hr.
