As a The Procurement Category Specialist, Packaging, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Ingredion’s US/CA strategy for key packaging categories—including pallets, drums, totes, and secondary/tertiary packaging—with direct accountability for ~$15MM in annual spend.
As a core member of the Corporate Direct Strategic Sourcing team, you'll drive value creation by leading cross-functional sourcing efforts, building strong supplier relationships, and helping build and streamline processes in a dynamic, evolving environment.
What you will do:
Develop and execute the USCA Packaging category strategy to drive measurable business results.
Align category goals with broader business needs, proactively resolving any strategic misalignments.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and Operations to influence strategy using category expertise.
Lead financial processes including monthly cost forecasting, savings reporting, and strategic sourcing with P&L impact.
Manage supplier relationships, including negotiations, SRM development, and ensuring delivery, quality, and cost targets.
Guide procurement teams in daily strategic execution and provide data-driven recommendations based on spend analysis.
Monitor global market trends and build risk management strategies to mitigate supply disruptions and ensure business continuity.
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
3–6 years of procurement/supply chain experience in complex environments
Hands-on expertise with SAP, SAP Ariba, Icertis, and e-Sourcing tools
Proven record in sourcing and strategic cost reduction
Strong collaboration across functions with measurable results
Ability to manage multiple projects in a high-pressure culture
Strong analytical, financial, and communication skills

$81,680.00-$108,906.67 AnnualThis pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
Incentive Compensation:
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
