Procurement Category Manger

We are looking for a Category Manager to join our healthcare team! Our\r\ncorporate Procurement services cover framework agreements, consultancy, and\r\nprocurement function, all delivered by skilled teams through efficient\r\ntechnology platforms. You will lead a delegated category portfolio to implement\r\nstrategic sourcing and partner management, lower costs, deliver savings\r\ntargets, and strengthen relationships with key suppliers.

This position is predominantly home based, but there is an expectation\r\nto attend meetings at our Salford office once/ twice per month or where\r\nbusiness needs are required. Our modern Salford office sits in an\r\niconic waterfront location positioned on the historic Manchester Ship Canal.

What you will be doing:

Providing a procurement\r\n support function for clients and handling tender activity appropriate to\r\n category through to contract award.Taking an active role in developing\r\n the annual work plan and implementing policy, supplying to short and\r\n long-term category strategies.Reviewing, negotiating,\r\n re-negotiating and drafting contracts for cost optimisation and savings\r\n targets.Taking the lead across a\r\n complex high value project portfolio, building knowledge and expertise.Developing and improving key\r\n supplier relationships and explore new business opportunities.Working with clients to\r\n develop constructive relationships with operational contract managers,\r\n providing support to make sure effective delivery of outcomes.

What you’ll bring:

Experience of PCR 2015,\r\n EU/UK regulations and company policies, Provider Selection Regime and the\r\n New Procurement Act 2023.Experience of working in\r\n procurement, commissioning, bid writing or contract management team within\r\n the NHS/ Healthcare Sector/ Public Sector.Knowledge and skill in\r\n procurement process, (scoping, briefing, tendering, selection, contract\r\n negotiation, including service level agreements, and management of\r\n suppliers.Reporting and providing\r\n evidence to the procurement team of savings and benefits delivered through\r\n the effective management of the vendor base.Knowledge and experience in\r\n conducting market research.Validated analytic skills\r\n (analysis of information, interpreting and communicating findings.

It would be great if you had:

Working experience gained\r\n within the health sector and understanding of health contracts.CIPS level 4, working\r\n towards or willingness to achieve.Knowledge of Procurement ERP\r\n systems, eSourcing tools.
