About the Role
Airswift is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our client’s Operations & Maintenance team in Perth. As a subject matter expert within the Supply Chain function, you will play a critical role in delivering high?quality procurement support to Operational Maintenance, Contracts, WIL and key internal stakeholders. The position requires strong analytical capability, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a commitment to ensuring timely, compliant and cost?effective procurement outcomes.
You will be responsible for managing end?to?end procurement activities, maintaining a high degree of data accuracy, and ensuring full compliance with internal controls, procurement frameworks and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities Ensure full compliance with C&P processes, including the Procure?to?Pay Work Instruction, while coaching stakeholders on correct application. Evaluate procurement deliverables in the presence of commercial, technical and schedule uncertainties, recommending optimal path forward. Lead RFQ processes including market engagement, vendor identification, negotiation, commercial evaluation and recommendation. Procure materials, services and equipment in line with technical specifications, ethical standards, cost targets and schedule requirements. Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal customers, functional teams and key business stakeholders. Own and ensure accuracy of procurement system data (GL codes, account assignments, material groups, tax codes, and links to outline agreements). Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to meet operational requirements, supporting stakeholders with procurement expertise and advisory input. Support C&P Advisers in operationalising contractual agreements within procurement systems. Demonstrate competency in invoicing, credits, spend monitoring, identifying cost variances, vendor blocks and late payments. Administer and close out Purchase Orders including changes, claims, disputes and extensions. Manage supplier relationships (SRM, issue resolution) to support improved performance and collaborative engagement. Liaise with and provide timely feedback to requisitioners and package owners. Core Responsibilities Support the development, collection and reporting of key procurement and performance metrics. Resolve escalated P2P issues while maintaining strong internal stakeholder relationships. Enhance visibility and auditability across the supply chain and understand process interdependencies across teams. Promote Local Content participation, including Indigenous and regional suppliers. Ensure efficient procurement lead times aligned with business requirements. Maintain awareness of budgeting cycles, expenditure analysis, forecasting and schedule fundamentals. Skills & Experience 5–10 years of Supply Chain experience, ideally within major offshore Oil & Gas or Energy operations. Proficiency in ERP procurement systems (S/4HANA SAP and Ariba preferred). Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder?management skills. Competent in MS Office and general digital tools; experience with e?business platforms and automation desirable. Demonstrated problem?solving capability, risk awareness and continuous improvement mindset.
