Please note: This role is for C-shift (Friday through Sunday) but will require training in 1st shift. Training will vary by work experience.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Wastewater Operator will oversee the process needed to keep the facility in compliance with required permits.
Read charts, flow meters, and gauges to detect equipment malfunctions.Monitors wastewater plant equipmentCollect samples, make process reports, and perform minor repairs on equipment.Conducts and documents all required regulatory inspections of waste areas, e.g. daily, weekly, monthly inspections.Work under direct supervision on duties and tasks that are standardized, selecting from written instructions and established procedures.Resolve routine questions and problems, referring more complex issues to higher levels.Apply basic and develop advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment, as appropriate to area of specialization.Parts to be lifted and/or transported may weigh up to 30 lbs. Keeps work area clean, safe and in an orderly fashion on a daily basis.Performs other tasks of equal or lesser skill as required.
