This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.

Principal Accountabilities:

Accurately input performance and production downtime data into the systemCollect product samples and conduct quality checks in accordance with established standardsOperate a forklift safely and efficiently to support material handlingUse end loaders to fill salt hoppers, load trucks, transferring salt into inventory Perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to reduce downtimeRe-palletize and properly dispose distressed productsExecute changeover proceduresUnderstanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulationsMaintaining a safe and clean work environmentOther duties as assigned 

Required Qualifications:

Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)Basic computer skillsAbility to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice?Experience working in a production related work.



Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as SAPHigh school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experienceExperience operating a front-end loaderExperience operating forklifts
