What You’ll Do

As a Process Technician you’ll be part of our Manufacturing team located in Chesterfield, MI. You’ll get to: 

Create labels and generate appropriate workorders. Perform workorder changes Troubleshoot and find root causes for quality issues. Operate and follow Manufacturing Plant monitoring systems Operate Injection Molding Machines – Arburg, Toshiba, Engel Operate and program sprue pickers and multi – axis robots Operate auxiliary equipmentTroubleshoot all equipment and perform maintenance requests with pertinent informationMaintain and operate thermolaters, Hot Runner systems, Material dryers, and grinders. Inspect, troubleshoot, and operate End of arm ToolingUnderstand Injection Molding Machine parameters, settings, alarms, and functions. Lead section to achieving an OEE goal of >80% by minimizing downtime from startups, waiting for startup and process transfers in an efficient and safe manner.Ability to perform a process transfer to match original Master Process – matching fill rates, gate freeze, cooling and cycle times, etc with a repeatable process. Ability to correctly save process to machine memory and flash drive to be turned into molding dept for review and to be added to the job book.Ability to perform cavity balance testing 2 shot molding experience Understanding of different resin types and their physical properties Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, climb, etc for 8 hours or more. Availability to work any shift, weekends, and holidays if required. Ability to work unsupervisedHighly self-motivated Basic computing skills Basic mathematics Compliant with 5s and 6s principlesCompliant with 14001 Certification requirementsSection 2 Baggers – reset machine, put new bag rolls on, label printer for the bags and basic trouble shooting on bagger machines.Understanding / and be able to Run big sections like Sec.1,2,3 or FF with sometimes over 30 presses running at once. Know the main difference between a single shot press to a 2-shot press.
