ITW Medical, a division of ITW, is comprised of two highly respected brands- Coeur and Filtertek, supplying critical filtration and flow control solutions to global OEM’s, serving Surgical, Infusion, Bioprocessing and Diagnostic Imaging end markets.
**This position is full-time, Monday - Friday**
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Sets up injection molding machines in anticipation of the molding process, ensuring correct parameters are set for the specific part being molded.Setting molds, dies, etc., to conform to scheduled requirements, to include leaving the workstation clean and organized, with quality parts coming from the process, while minimizing downtime. Clears the production line of previous product materials, tools, and instructions, preparing it for the new part (line clearance).Maintain equipment’s proper operation to include verifying set-up parameters of process as well as condition of machine; periodically checking machine cycle time and yields are met; quality of parts and overall consistency of process. Performs mold cleaning according to schedule and as needed to maintain optimal performance. Performs routine repairs and preventative maintenance on production machinery.Troubleshoot and solve complex molding process conditions to ensure quality and prevent non-conformance.Maintains set-up sheets. Provide input to process specifications, equipment specifications, request for quotations, factory/site acceptance plans, engineering processes, etc.Provides technical consultation and support to New Product Development or Operations, regarding product designs and manufacturing process parameters and specifications.Perform machine adjustments for a variety of engineering grade materials.Adjust, maintain and troubleshoot automated equipment to maximize utilization.Collaborate with Plant Leaders to stop molding process due to quality concerns.Completes necessary paperwork timely and accurately. Accurately records use of spare parts to guarantee proper inventory is maintained.Train new/current technicians to increase machine knowledge.Ensure good housekeeping and organization of production floor.Follow all safety guidelines.Recommends cost saving improvements, general process improvements, and ergonomic improvements.Ensure comprehensive and complete communication with oncoming shift.All other duties as assigned by manager.Qualifications
Minimum High School degree, GED or equivalent education or training.Minimum 3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience in plastic injection molding and automated assembly/testing production equipment.Minimum 3 years related advanced problem solving and processing skills in relation to injection molding and automation equipment.Demonstrated ability to resolve maintenance/manufacturing challenges both through management direction and independent process analysis required.Certification and experience in scientific injection molding process monitoring methodology required.Working knowledge of robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and/or electric systems for both relay and solid-state machinery required.Must possess good communication/interpersonal skills, excellent visual skills for accessing functionality of equipment, above basic mathematical skills and reasoning ability.Understanding of OSHA requirements (i.e. Lockout/Tagout, Forklift).Must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes overtime and weekends.Must have ability to provide their own basic tools (Allen wrenches, socket sets, etc.).Competencies/Physical Demand

The work conditions are in a climate controlled medical device assembly room.
