Job DescriptionWe are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Process Technician to join our team. The role involves handling wooden and plastic pallets, ensuring their quality through inspection, and performing lab tests in accordance with industry standards. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment while operating machinery such as forklifts and using precision measurement instruments.ResponsibilitiesLift and handle wooden and plastic pallets, as well as their components, including deck boards and blocks.Understand and apply the PQS for each platform effectively.Inspect pallets for defects, collect data, and take photos as required.Report any improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unsafe or unusual conditions to the Manager or Lead.Meet and exceed production goals in both team and independent settings.Operate a forklift safely and adhere to all safety regulations and policies.Maintain and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.Keep work area clean and organized using provided cleaning tools.Conduct physical inventory counts and perform lab testing in accordance with ISO and ISTA standards.Perform basic analysis of test subjects and follow written test plans.Utilize precision measurement instruments such as calipers, moisture meters, and environmental chambers.Attend safety meetings and trainings, and actively participate in the Near Miss Program.Understand and adhere to the principles of the Zero Harm Program.Perform additional duties as required or directed, either temporarily or permanently.Essential SkillsProficiency in using various hand tools, heavy-duty machinery, and test lab equipment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to multitask effectively in a time-sensitive environment.Self-motivated and driven by success, with a competitive team spirit.Ability to follow directions, understand job specifications, and inspect finished products for accuracy and quality.Additional Skills & QualificationsBasic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.Work EnvironmentThe position is based in a 15,000 square foot Innovation Center, which serves as a Laboratory Testing facility. You will be involved in testing pallets and customer products, with tests ranging from precision, compression, vibration, and temperature assessments. The environment is dynamic and requires adherence to safety protocols.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
