The Opportunity
We have a dynamic opportunity for a Sample Preparation Supervisor to join our team within the Bureau Veritas Minerals Laboratory at Sorbonne Crescent facility in Canning Vale. This position is required to ensure that a safe environment is provided for your team to meet high performance targets and report to key stakeholders in a timely fashion.
Key Responsibilities
Work to Bureau Veritas QHSE standards. Supervise and lead a team on the shop floor. Coordinates and scheduling the movement of inwards and outwards Samples. Support and drive the team to achieve daily production targets. Support and assist in on-the-job training of your team. Assist in reviewing processes to improve safety, quality, and productivity. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ensure procedures are followed and quality standards met. Support and drive a positive work culture.
About You
A good working knowledge of production and processing environments. Understanding and implementation of quality control / assurance procedures. Understanding and implementation of occupational, health, safety and environmental principles and procedures. Ability to manage staff in the daily operation environment. Proactively manage staff in a ‘hands on’ manner. Demonstrated ability to organize structured competency-based training programs Able to work unsupervised either individually or in a team environment. Ability to motivate others to achieve desired outcomes
Roster
Monday to Friday 8 hour shift rotational roster
Day shift (6.00am – 2.00pm) Afternoon shift (2.00pm – 10.00pm) Night shift (10.00pm – 6.00am)**Full availability across all shifts is required
**Roster may also change in future to meet business requirements
