Job Description
As an onsite member of one of the key Thermo Fisher Scientific IT groups, located at one of our main CoE campuses, you will be at the forefront of the Corporate Infrastructure and Security (CIS) strategy and excellence transformation.

How will you make an impact?
Partner with key members of the CIS Process Optimization team to design, build, and deploy AI solutions that accelerate productivity and enhance user experience. This role drives to model development, solution prototyping, documentation, and project coordination across a variety of initiatives. The incumbent will work with different levels of staff to define AI use cases, develop workflows, and deliver integrated AI capabilities across systems and teams.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical thinking and machine learning skills and will demonstrate confirmed follow through and applied partnership. Collaborating with colleagues across several CIS teams and programs will allow this individual to be most effective.

What will you do?

• Enable continuous AI learning and education for CIS colleagues through the development and delivery of engaging training sessions, learning resources, and ongoing knowledge-sharing initiatives to foster a culture of innovation and digital fluency.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop AI solutions that solve business problems and unlock new opportunities
• Translate CIS requirements into AI capabilities, with a focus on scalable and sustainable design
• Support the development and deployment of AI models, pipelines, and agents
• Collaborate with key team members to prioritize AI initiatives and deliver meaningful outcomes
• Contribute to key AI and automation initiatives within CIS
• Become a trusted technical resource that enhances team productivity through solutions
• Author effective documentation and change communications around AI deployment
• Analyze and preprocess datasets to support AI model training and evaluation
• Facilitate ideation and design workshops to identify potential AI applications
• Consult with business users to evaluate feasibility and impact of AI approaches
• Support the CIS team with machine learning, natural language processing, and automation projects
• Complete assignments with some direction and communicate progress with a diverse group of team members
• Deliver collaborator satisfaction through clear and timely status updates and results tracking
• Ensure compliance with company’s Global IT Policies & Procedures, specifically including Generative AI and Automation

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Experience with Python and AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn. Tools like Power BI, Jira, and Miro a plus
• Demonstrable ability to communicate and work effectively with global, multi-functional teams
• Demonstrable ability to quickly learn and adapt to new AI technologies and platforms
• Strong interpersonal relationship skills that promote collaboration and innovation across the organization
• Project execution or management experience a plus
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet required deadlines

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $95,900.00–$135,000.00.
