Process Improvement Specialist - Lean Six Sigma Certified

Process Excellence (PEx) Black Belt Leader is responsible for being a change agent, leading improvement teams and working projects focused - Early Development as part of the PEx team.  During this full-time assignment, PEx consultants are expected to complete the following:  Lead and complete black belt projects within Early Development both locally and globally, coach and mentor business departments leaders, including green belt candidates and provide training to broaden the culture of process excellence within the business unit.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Leads process improvement teams and directs timely completion of projects that support critical goals and customer satisfaction requirements and serves as the departmental point of contact for specific project initiatives and best practices.Assists process owners, project champions, and business unit leaders to facilitate setting priorities, developing agendas and designing objectives related to Labcorp Drug Development Process Excellence.Train, mentor, coach and challenge others in the use of statistical tools and Process Excellence approaches and techniques to establish a process acumen mindset at the department or process level.Demonstrates Project Management techniques on existing projects by managing multiple priorities effectively and meeting commitments in an accurate and timely manner.Identify and present opportunities to business leaders and champions to improve customer satisfaction, increase net income, enhance productivity and further employee performance across business units within the Early Development business.Identifies and shares leveraging opportunities or best practices across business units within the Early Development business.Support ED project management and process excellence efforts with other duties as assigned.

Education / Qualifications:

Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred, Six Sigma Green Belt will be considered.BSc/BA is required; relevant experience may be substituted for education.Engineering degree or other technical background preferred.

Experience:

7+ years in Process Excellence/Improvement rolesDirect experience working in a global matrix organization.Project Management skills, including an ability to plan and execute projects and meet commitments in an accurate and timely manner.Strong facilitations skills as demonstrated with various levels in an organization.Strong technical skills as applied to obtaining and analyzing business metricsStrong leadership and communication skills to senior leadership at the executive level and above.Pharmaceuticals or Drug Development regulatory (GLP) experience highly preferred but not essential
