Job Description

Main objective of the job:                                       

Lead the integration of new requirements into the Vertex system, providing first-level support, maintaining up-to-date documentation, and delivering training for key users and new team members. Ensure the smooth operation of Vertex within the organization by offering ongoing support and training.

Specific job responsibilities:

Lead the mapping and testing of new tax requirements into the Vertex logic, including new tax codes, Incoterms, One-Stop-Shop registrations, and other tax-related updates.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate integration of these new requirements into Vertex and test for successful implementation.Provide first-level support for Vertex-related errors after go-live, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.Document and track all solutions offered, ensuring that each issue is resolved promptly and that all necessary follow-up actions are completed.Train key users on operational processes and country-specific tax developments within the Vertex system.Ensure that key users are well-equipped to handle the system's functionality and understand how to use Vertex effectively.Maintain up-to-date Vertex documentation, ensuring it reflects any changes, updates, and new processes within the system.Regularly update and manage the Vertex Docupedia page, ensuring that all relevant information is accessible for users and stakeholders.Foster collaboration within the team and across departments to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.

QualificationsUniversity degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.Fluent in English (writing & speaking).Proven experience in implementing indirect tax requirements in accounting processes, preferably within SAP systems.Solid understanding of indirect tax regulations in B2R, B2C, and I2P processes.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders.Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering tax-related implementations on time.Experience with SAP R/3, S/4HANA, or other relevant ERP systems.Strong understanding of international indirect tax regulations.Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities effectively.Very good presentation skills.Strong personality with leadership potential, a proactive approach, and a 'can-do' attitude.Team player.
