Job Description
Join a dynamic team as a Process Equipment Engineer, contributing to new model development within the equipment group. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to introduce and implement essential equipment for new model introductions in various facilities. Utilize 3D CAD software and simulation tools to identify key change points, create design specifications, and ensure quality, cost, and safety requirements are met.
Responsibilities
Review new model car part data for application into existing equipment and processes or for new machine/process development (10% of time).Create machine or tooling concepts using 3D CAD software and 3D robotic simulation software (25% of time).Develop specification documentation to summarize change points, establish criteria, and process/part flow (40% of time).Lead meetings with upstream and downstream customers to reach consensus (10% of time).Create and maintain a critical path schedule to ensure project milestones are met (5% of time).Conduct on-site investigations of manufacturing lines and facilities (5% of time).Provide on-site support to install or modify equipment to validate criteria achievement and stable production (5% of time).Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial EngineeringProficiency in 3D CAD systemsExperience with automated equipment development and designStrong equipment analysis skillsAdditional Skills & Qualifications

This role involves an office work environment with approximately 15% of time spent on the plant floor. It offers a long-term contract-to-hire position, providing a stable and engaging work setting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00/hr.
