Job Summary:

As a Process Engineer Intern at Crane Aerospace and Electronics, you will develop knowledge about the business through exposure to process engineering. You will focus on developing the skills necessary for success by assisting employees with day-to-day job assignments. You may be assigned to additional training or project work. The Company's internship program is intended to provide students from diverse backgrounds with the opportunity to practice business skills learned in school while gaining work experience.

Responsibilities:

Handle projects or some of the work normally performed by an entry-level, professional employeeProvide Operations support for the New Product Introduction ProcessWork closely with other members of the Operations team such as Manufacturing Engineers, Production Supervisors, Buyer/Planners, Assemblers and Technicians.Work closely with other cross functional members of the Integrated Product Team such as Design Engineers, Program Managers, Quality, Supply Chain, and Business Managers.Attend seminars, meetings, and Kaizens as assigned.In addition, for Operations:Assist in development of the lean manufacturing process for new productsSupport estimating and quoting activities for new productsPerform quantitative analysis for capacity planning and cost comparisonAssist in coordination of documentation and materials required to support hardware deliveries

Minimum Requirements:

Experience: Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Chemical, Polymers, Metallurgical, Mechanical, or Material Science Engineering.Experience with material characterization tools and wet chemistry experience nice to haveSkills:Possess excellent verbal and written communication skillsPossess effective interpersonal skills in a team environmentMust be project-oriented and be able to multi-taskKnowledge/proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft PowerPointAbility to fulfill a one quarter or semester internship commitment, 40 hours per weekEducation/ Certification: Must provide GPA, minimum accepted 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Hourly Range: $25 to $30. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
