Title:
Process Engineer Utilities – LNGKBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for a Process Engineer Utilities – LNG support the Abadi LNG project, one of the largest projects in Asia. This project will provide front-end design (FEED) for onshore liquefied natural gas facilities & will have a peak production capacity targets of 9.5 million tons per annum of LNG and 150 million standard cubic feet per day of pipeline gas. The Abadi LNG project has been designated a project of national strategic importance by the Indonesian government.
The Process Engineer (Utilities – LNG) will develop and review Utility Flow Diagrams (UFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). The Utility systems this role will be responsible for include Heating Medium system, Fuel gas, Water systems (Fresh water, demin water, potable water, cooling water), Air and Nitrogen systems, Wastewater and Sewage treatment systems.
Responsibilities:
Develop utility systems description & utility balances & consumptionsPerform Equipment Sizing for utility systems, and Hydraulics calculationResponsible for Utility Systems FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) and detailed engineering phasesEnsure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelinesCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineersParticipate in HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) studies and other process safety reviewsPrepare and review technical specifications, datasheets, and vendor documentsInterface with clients, licensors, and regulatory bodies as requiredRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering4 + years of related experience, with average experience ranging from 6 - 10 + years in the Gas processing or LNG industryStrong knowledge & experience in Utility systems; Heating Medium system, Fuel gas, Water systems (Fresh water, demin water, potable water, cooling water), Air and Nitrogen systems, Wastewater and sewage treatment systemsExperience in FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) and detailed engineering phases of project preferably within utility systemsFamiliarity with international codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME, ISO)Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skillsMust have strong written & written English skillsPreferred Qualifications:
