PROCESS ENGINEER -TURDA (ON SITE)
Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to analyze, develop, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes. The role focuses on ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality production while supporting operational stability and continuous improvement initiatives.

The position also involves executing and validating Process Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (PFMEA) directly on the production floor (Gemba), ensuring alignment between documented processes and real operating conditions.

Key Responsibilities

General Responsibilities

Comply with all safety, hygiene, and internal regulations Adhere to company policies, Code of Conduct, and applicable standards Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 Participate in audits and continuous improvement activities (Lean, 5S, etc.)

Process Engineering

Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and quality Design and optimize equipment layouts and production workflows Identify bottlenecks and eliminate waste Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies Collect and analyze data to identify root causes and trends Develop and maintain SOPs and process documentation Troubleshoot production issues and support cost estimation

PFMEA & Risk Management

Validate process flows against real production conditions (Gemba) Execute PFMEA at machine level and ensure accuracy of risk assessments Implement risk reduction actions (e.g., Poka-Yoke, sensor improvements) Improve process capability (Cp/Cpk) and tooling stability Update RPN / Action Priority based on validated data

Training & Collaboration

Train operators and team leaders on process risks and prevention methods Ensure alignment between PFMEA, Control Plans, and Work Instructions Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams Support implementation of improvement actions on the shop floor Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related) Minimum 8 years of experience in process or manufacturing engineering Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production equipment Experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949) Good problem-solving and analytical skills Hands-on approach and ability to work in a production environment Preferred Qualifications Experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing Knowledge of ISO 14001 Experience with ERP systems (IFS is an advantage) English – good working level (Spanish is a plus) Key Competencies Process risk management and PFMEA knowledge Practical, hands-on problem solving Data-driven decision making Good communication skills across all organizational levels
