Process Engineer (Material)

**What you’ll do:**
The Process Engineer (Material Engineer) plays a critical role in optimizing manufacturing processes and resolving material-related issues on the production line. This position focuses on improving yield, efficiency, and material performance through data-driven analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives. Candidates with a background in chemical engineering or materials science are preferred.
**"Process Optimization & Bottleneck Elimination**
1. Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
2. Implement targeted improvements to enhance yield, throughput, and material utilization.
**Material Issue Resolution**
1. Investigate and resolve material-related problems, including adhesion, curing, contamination, and compatibility issues.
2. Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to validate material specifications and ensure process compatibility.
**Statistical Analysis & Yield Improvement**
1. Apply statistical tools such as DOE (Design of Experiments), SPC (Statistical Process Control), and Six Sigma to evaluate process capability.
2. Drive continuous yield improvement through structured problem-solving and data analysis.
**Process Documentation & Standardization**
1. Create and maintain process documentation including SOPs, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Work Instructions.
2. Ensure documentation reflects current practices and supports operational consistency.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration**
1. Work closely with Quality, Production, R&D, and Maintenance teams to resolve process-related issues.
2. Lead or support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
**Process Monitoring & Quality Control**
1. Monitor key process parameters and quality metrics to ensure process stability and product consistency.
2. Investigate deviations and implement corrective actions to maintain quality standards.
**Productivity & Waste Reduction Initiatives**
1. Participate in productivity improvement programs such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and waste reduction.
2. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process simplification."
**Qualifications:**
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (required)
Above 5 years of experience in process engineering
**Skills:**
"1.Strong understanding of material behavior in industrial processes (e.g., polymers, adhesives, coatings, composites)
2.Proficiency in statistical tools (DOE, SPC, Six Sigma) and data analysis software
3.Experience with Lean, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies"
Bilingual ability in English and Chinese is an advantage
