Process Engineer
**Job Description** In Precision Guided Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line, we design and manufacture state-of-the-art sensors and guidance kits that enable our customers to execute their precision strike missions. Our team is currently looking for a Product/Process Engineer for the APKWS Production Program. The APKWS Production Program is responsible for over $250M in annual sales revenue and the factory is located in Hudson, NH. The APKWS Program won a five year IDIQ proposal for 2026-2030. _This is a first shift position working a 4/10 schedule Monday-Thursday_ BAE is looking for an entry level Process/Product Engineer to support our electro-mechanical assembly environment at our APKWS Hudson NH manufacturing site. This high visibility position will be responsible for supporting the production line of the APKWS Program in NH, as well as working with our CCA feeder factory out of Austin, TX. The candidate must be strong on both electro-mechanical assembly and quality systems (AS9100). The position requires good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of personnel in a team-based environment. The position will direct report to the APKWS Product Stream Manager. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** The candidate must be able to support and lead small to mid-sized multidisciplinary hardware engineering projects through one or more phases of the hardware product lifecycle, including proposals, design, development, integration, test, transition to production, production improvements and/or sustainment. Other skills and qualifications include; + A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering preferred entry level college graduate. + Must eligible for a DOD security clearance. + Experience in manufacturing / process engineering, supporting CCA work, Mechanical build/integration and test in a DOD environment is a plus. + Experience supporting box build/electro-mechanical device assembly activity at BAE is preferred as well as experience with shop floor control software including Paperless, Tip QA, and/or similar enterprise applications. + Must be hands on and prepared work closely with assemblers, inspectors, test technicians, and program engineers to work complex issues to closure. + Must be customer focused with an eye toward Quality, Delivery, and Cost metrics. + A quality focus is desired with strong knowledge of AS9100 quality systems and experience evaluating quality data and implementing sound corrective and preventive action. Experience with generating / supporting BAE s CAB/CARB process is desired. + Must be comfortable preparing presentations, speaking, and presenting to teammates of varied backgrounds and technical capabilities. + The candidate must demonstrate strong technical aptitude, communication skills, leadership skills, and be able to work cross-functionally within the operations organization and with other discipline/functions. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Experience leading and supporting Design To Unit Production Cost (DTUPC) and Unit Production Cost (UPC) initiatives, a working knowledge of manufacturing best practices, and experience supporting and influencing manufacturability, testability, and affordability of designs from inception through maturity. + Identifying Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)/Defects per Unit (DPU)/Hours per Unit (HPU) drivers and working with teams to drive project to root cause corrective action/preventative action to improve metrics and performance. + Regularly monitor yield, defects, cost trends and drive improvement actions related to the data. + Regularly present yield, defect, and cost data to program teams and management and status actions to improve. + Support the troubleshooting and debug of manufacturing/design issues, working directly with hardware and program engineering personnel as required. + Modify/Create rework instructions for non-conforming material. + Interface with Engineering, Quality and other supporting functions to drive defect resolution to root cause. + Generate and implement continuous improvements in product design, test design, and assembly methodologies to reduce cost, increase yield, and improve throughput. + Feedback lessons learned to the design teams for continuous improvement. + Generate and review the technical content of test procedures, drawings, engineering specifications, reports, engineering change orders, and other documentation. + Interface with governmental customers, auditors, and suppliers as required. + Provide training and support to manufacturing personnel. + Support Root Cause and Corrective Action activities. + Work with the Quality function to support and perform First Article Inspections. **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $79365 - $134921 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
