Job Title: Process Engineer
Job Description

As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes to improve process control and productivity. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the facility process control plan, collaborating with cross-functional teams for continuous improvement, and providing technical support for process upsets. Your role is vital in driving operational excellence and ensuring high-quality and timely service to both internal and external customers.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop the facility process control plan to establish a clear operating envelope for each system.Optimize manufacturing processes through daily monitoring, analysis, and reporting of critical process data.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and provide technical support for process upsets.Communicate and collaborate across the organization to implement process control development and operational framework plant-wide.Support the development of standard operating procedures for plant operations.Provide daily reporting and analysis of plant-wide KPIs.Identify cause and effect relationships using a data-driven approach.Organize and manage multiple projects and tasks to ensure high-quality and timely service.Collaborate with other functions such as production, engineering, and EHS on projects and resolving process concerns.Perform all other related duties as assigned.Essential SkillsBachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Metallurgical Engineering from an accredited College or University.5+ years of experience in process improvement within a manufacturing environment.Proven leadership skills to champion change and promote a positive team atmosphere.Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and propose solutions for process optimization.Collaborative skills to work within cross-functional teams and champion change.Understanding of process flows, P&ID’s, and mass/energy balances.Experience with process control systems and data historians.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong track record of delivering business results through time management and prioritization.Additional Skills & QualificationsSix Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.Previous experience with metallurgical processes preferred.Experience using statistical software and tools.Work Environment

The work environment requires a willingness and ability to wear a full-face respirator mask directly against skin, with or without reasonable accommodation. You must be able to work in a hot/high temperature production facility while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $65.00/hr.
