Our client in the automotive industry, is looking to hire a Process Engineer on a permanent basis in their Windsor, ON location. The position aims to enhance product lines from inception into production, adhering to company standards and APQP initiatives. Additionally, this role involves supporting packaging engineering, problem-solving, and participating as a PD team member from Phase 1 to production. The process engineer will assist in establishing run rates, process development, PFMEA/P Flow Diagrams, developing and maintaining SOPs, and ensuring continuous improvement.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop manufacturing methods and processes.Write operation sheets for products or tools.Investigate and troubleshoot manufacturing problems.Review drawings and designs during the development phase.Prepare time studies and estimates for sales.Investigate, establish, and implement requirements for equipment, tooling, materials, or methods of manufacturing.Plan and design floor layouts for efficient production.Develop and implement production/processing methods and controls to meet quality standards cost-effectively.Investigate and resolve work-in-process problems.Recommend and implement improvements or modifications in operations and equipment utilization.Monitor operations to ensure compliance with approved methods and quality standards.Review proposals from outside vendors regarding production/processing equipment.Essential Skills4+ years of process engineering experience in a product manufacturing setting.Knowledge of GD&T, APQP, IATF.Fixture design knowledge.Experience in integrating new processes and troubleshooting issues.Knowledgeable with production cell layouts and capacity planning.Experience in Trials and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).Process flow planning and PFMEA.Continuous improvement experience.Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a unionized environment.Hands-on experience working with machinery.Work Environment

This position operates on a day shift from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Flexibility is required for occasional afternoon shifts and rare after-hours project calls. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
