Job Description
As a Process Engineer at our Valencia location, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation and continuous improvement of the business. You will work cross-functionally with operations, quality, and design engineering professionals engaged in production support, automation, and lean activities to ensure our products meet functional, performance, reliability, and quality requirements. Collaboration with various stakeholders, including other sites, will be essential to achieve the organization's goals.
ResponsibilitiesParticipate in assembly and test reviews, optimizing production processes such as time studies and lean initiatives to drive continuous improvement.Support efforts in development and environmental qualification of LRU assets and acceptance test equipment.Support maintenance and safety programs to ensure the highest level of safety and efficiency of machines.Resolve issues to ensure on-time shipment of various product lines.Collaborate closely with other sites and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration, knowledge sharing, and alignment on engineering strategies.Ensure all engineering activities adhere to relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.Essential SkillsProcess improvementProcess engineeringLean manufacturingManufacturing processWork instructionManufacturing engineeringContinuous improvementAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in EngineeringMinimum of 3+ years of experience within the aerospace or related industry, with hands-on experience in a production environmentStrong background in test equipment design, test engineering, environmental qualification, and manufacturing is a plusExcellent planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a production environmentFamiliarity with aerospace and defense industry regulations, quality standards, and safety protocolsStrong problem-solving abilities and a track record of implementing continuous improvement initiativesWork Environment
You will work on the floor setting up a new line that is going into production. Interaction will occur with design, manufacturing, production managers, and program managers. Collaboration will be with another process engineer recruited for the same project.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57.00 - $57.69/hr.
