Job DescriptionEssential Role Responsibilities 

Understand, monitor and improve manufacturing process capabilities.

Leverage data acquisition, management and processing systems to focus improvement efforts to improve efficiency and reduce cost.

Help to advance companies effort to incorporate contemporary manufacturing technologies.

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through the use of automation where appropriate.

Formally document new part designs, fixture designs and manufacturing procedures according to internal and external requirements.

Respond when needed to manufacturing emergencies to quickly identify and remediate issues.

Work with design teams, quality assurance, planning, manufacturing, purchasing, and suppliers to understand cause and implement solutions.

Formal and timely communication to the management team on project status.

Create, edit and approve engineering changes, work instructions, deviations, and other documentation as required.

Required Qualifications

US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The role will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa or student visa.

Bachelors Degree in an Engineering or related discipline.

Must be competent using SolidWorks or equivalent design software..

Statistically sound data analysis abilities to describe, diagnose, predict outcomes and prescribe solutions.

Demonstratable success developing task specific applications including the ability to document user level instruction and train operators to achieve proficiency.

Must be able to work independently/self-motivated.

Desired Characteristics

Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

3 months exposure to a manufacturing environment through employment or internships.

Experience in a FDA, ISO13485, or other highly regulated environment preferred.

Demonstrable use of a structured approach when analyzing and evaluating alternatives to manufacturing issues.
