About the Role
Our client is seeking a Process Engineer to support and improve manufacturing operations.
You will focus on process optimization, quality, and risk reduction directly on the shop floor.
This role is hands-on and requires strong involvement in real production environments.
Key Responsibilities
Process & Production
Analyze and improve manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality
Design workflows, layouts, and production flow improvements
Identify bottlenecks and eliminate waste
Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
Lead process improvement and industrialization projects
Develop SOPs and maintain process documentation
Quality & Continuous Improvement
Support ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards
Participate in audits and certification processes
Use data and statistical tools to identify root causes
PFMEA & Risk Reduction
Validate processes directly on the shop floor (Gemba)
Align real operations with process documentation
Implement error-proofing (Poka-Yoke) solutions
Improve process capability (Cp/Cpk) and equipment stability
Reduce risks through machine-level improvements
Collaboration & Training
Train operators and team leaders on process risks
Ensure alignment between PFMEA, Control Plans, and workflows
Work closely with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or similar)
8+ years experience in manufacturing/process engineering
Strong knowledge of production processes and industrial equipment
Experience with quality systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949)
Hands-on problem-solving mindset
Nice to Have
Automotive manufacturing experience
Knowledge of ISO 14001
ERP experience (IFS preferred)
English required; Spanish is a plus
