Position Summary
Reports to the superintendent, Process DevelopmentRotating swing shift position supporting process development activities within the BioProducts facility. 8 hour days 24/7The Operator position’s primary responsibility is to operate, monitor, manage and troubleshoot equipment. Additional responsibilities include housekeeping, basic preventative and reactive maintenance, sample retrieval for quality and process control, lockout/tagout tasks for department unit operations, responding to process alarms and completion of job related paperwork. Personnel in the Operator position are expected to have a working knowledge and understanding of all the Fermentation support systems.Job Responsibilities:Good interpersonal skills, conveying information both professionally and concisely, maintain a positive and respectful attitudeActively champion and promote all safety related policies and programs to ensure colleague engagement and dedication to the benefits of working safe.Support of the operating of manufacturing technology and capabilities for new/improved products and processesSupport of efforts to develop and implement technology and practices to reduce contamination, increase efficiency and yield and increase utilization of idle equipmentAbility to work in a team environmentSupport startup and transfer of new technologyPerform troubleshooting and problem solvingDevelop management of change requests, operating procedures logs, etc. and provide training related to technology transfer functions as items transfer to the plan.Document results and generate reports and readingsForklift operationReport near misses and incidents on the day that they happenDemonstrate good time management skillsJob Requirements:Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work across functionsCreative/analytical problem solving skills and innovative approaches to resolve complex problemsDemonstrated strength with trouble-shooting activitiesPromotes the ADM Way and Core ValuesAble to communicate with all levels of the organizationMust have a proven history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and proceduresForklift qualifiedRespirator qualifiedPhysical Requirements/Working conditions:Work in uncomfortable environments, such as hot or cold temperaturesAbility to climb stairs and exposure to heightsMoves/transports fifty five poundsAble to access all areas in the plantSit or stand for long periods of time and bending, kneelingAble to enter and work in confined spacesADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
