Process Contact Engineer

Requirements:

Degree in Chemical Engineering (other engineering degrees considered with refinery process/unit operations experience)

3+ years of experience in process engineering for refinery wastewater or related industrial operations

Knowledge of process safety regulations and processes

Proficiency with applications for process engineering calculations, designs, and simulations

Experience with applications for MOC processes, maintenance processes, incident investigations, record management, and supply chain processes

Ability to lead technical change from development through implementation and operation

Preferred Skills:

Experience providing technical support within refinery or industrial unit operations

Background in troubleshooting and turnaround support

Ability to conduct optimization studies to improve production and efficiency

Responsibilities:

Provide technical support for assigned process units within a PUT

Respond to technical requests from operations, maintenance, reliability, process safety, and other departments

Perform daily calculations using operational data on unit performance and product targets

Initiate and manage MOCs, environmental checklists, planning, execution, and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs)

Participate in meetings addressing operational issues and PUT work priorities

Lead troubleshooting efforts and support turnaround activities for process units

Advise operations on process optimization to improve production and efficiency

Support projects during design, development, execution, and startup

Generate improvement projects to promote safety, efficiency, and stability in process operations

Pay: 40-60

Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
