Job Description
The Process Area Engineer is responsible for providing technical oversight and coordination of all FPSO process system construction activities at the yard in China during the project execution phase. The role ensures that fabrication, assembly, and integration of process systems are carried out in full compliance with project specifications, HSE requirements, quality standards, and schedule
This position serves as the primary technical contact for process-related matters, working closely with the EPC contractor, subcontractors, vendors, and the internal project team to monitor progress, resolve technical challenges, and support pre-commissioning and testing efforts.

Job Responsibilities Monitor and supervise FPSO process area fabrication, assembly, and integration at the construction yard. Review engineering drawings, specifications, and method statements to ensure alignment with project requirements Support and coordinate pre-commissioning and testing activities related to process equipment and systems Ensure contractors and subcontractors adhere to HSE policies, QA/QC standards, and project procedures. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during construction in collaboration with engineering and yard teams. Participate in inspections, Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs) for process equipment. Provide regular progress updates, reports, and technical inputs to the Project Management Team (PMT). Liaise with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, structural) to ensure seamless integration of process systems. Support punch list clearance and system handover to commissioning teams.
Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Process, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) Professional certifications in process engineering, project management, or HSE are an advantage Minimum 3 years of experience in Client Representative role Minimum 5 years of experience in FPSO projects Strong technical knowledge in process discipline Strong experience in yard construction, fabrication supervision, pre-commissioning, and integration of process equipment Familiarity with process equipment such as separators, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, and flare systems. Knowledge of international codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO) and QA/QC requirements
