Job Title: Procedures Lead
Department: Operations Support
Job Purpose
The Procedures Lead is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing Operations and Maintenance procedures to meet Operator assurance standards. This role ensures alignment with international safety and engineering standards, industry best practices, and supports operational excellence across all facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Procedure Development & Validation
Revalidate procedures for Onshore Operations, Manufacturing, Terminals, Offshore, Refinery, and Maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operations.Validate competency assessment packages for Operations and Maintenance personnel.Documentation & Compliance
Ensure technical and safety documentation reflects current practices, lessons learned, and “as-built” conditions.Identify and implement improvements to documentation that support operational needs and mitigate business risks.Process Oversight
Administer the Procedures Review process using the Document Management Tool to ensure timely updates and stakeholder input.Ensure accurate metadata mapping for all Operations documents.Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with the QGMS team to maintain standardized documentation formats and manage the Operations Group Policy & Procedures portal.Coordinate with Engineering to ensure updates to P&IDs are accurately reflected in simplified drawings.Leadership & Planning
Provide guidance to the workforce on procedure lifecycle management.Set annual objectives for documentation development and support the technical writing team in resolving complex issues.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience:
Minimum 8 years in the Oil & Gas industry. At least 3 years in technical documentation and procedure authoring. Strong understanding of engineering change management and document control processes.Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication in English. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
