A caregiver in this position works varying shits from 7:00am to 3:30pm or 7:30am to 4:00pm.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Provide direct nursing care. + Implement and monitor patient care plans. + Monitor, record and communicate patients' conditions. + Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. + Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing + Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) + Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross + Less than two years of experience, but post orientation/90-day probationary period considered with the Chief Nursing Officer approval for internal applicants OR military RN experience + Two years of recent related ICU/ED experience for external applicants + Critical Care Course or validated OJT + Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within one year of hire + Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC - adult) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC - pediatric) upon or within 24 months of hire Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) **Physical Requirements:** + Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. + Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. + Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. + Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours. + Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids. + Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. + Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. **Personal Protective Equipment:** + Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. **Pay Range** Minimum hourly: $41.00 Maximum hourly: $41.00 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
