The Bath Health and Wellness Center Emergency Department offers 24-hour emergency care with board-certified, emergency medicine physicians who are available around-the-clock to provide comprehensive care to adults and children. Backed by the full resources of Cleveland Clinic Akron General and Cleveland Clinic, the Emergency Department provides advanced care in the Bath community. As an RN, you will deliver exceptional care, throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed.

Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources. 

 

A caregiver in this position works varying shifts. It is required to work 48 hours per 6-week period. 

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

Provide direct nursing care. 

Implement and monitor patient care plans.  

Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.  

Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.  

Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs. 

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program) 

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) 

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) 

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) within one year of hire 

External applicants: two years of recent related nursing experience 

Internal applicants with less than two years’ experience, but post orientation/90-day probationary period, could be considered with the Chief Nursing Officer level review and approval 

Will consider military RN experience 

 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) 

 
Physical Requirements:

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.

Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.

Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.

Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.

Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
