The Cleveland Clinic Float Pool gives you the opportunity to care for patients in various Critical Care, Telemetry or Emergency Department Units. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional support, from initial introduction to discharge. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system has numerous professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills. **A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. -- 6:00 p.m.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Provide direct nursing care. + Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans. + Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions. + Administer prescribed medications and treatments. + Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. + Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs. + Educate patients and their families. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) + Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) + One year of current acute care RN experience. Will consider military RN experience Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Adaptable to convey their ability to adjust to new situations and challenges + Can work harmoniously with others + Are highly motivated and results driven + One year of experience in a critical care or ICU-setting highly preferred **Physical Requirements:** + Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. + Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. + May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids. + Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. + Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. **Personal Protective Equipment:** + Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures. **Pay Range** Salaries [which may be] shown on independent job search websites reflect various market averages and do not represent information obtained directly from The Cleveland Clinic.
