Unlock your potential! **Job Summary and Qualifications** As a Radiation Therapist, you'll provide direct patient care within the scope of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. You'll use therapeutic communication, maintain a safe environment, and identify patient needs, planning individualized care with an interdisciplinary approach. You'll also participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to the hospital's mission and vision. + What you will do in this role: + Assess patient status and their reaction to treatment daily, communicating concerns to the appropriate personnel. + Follow proper procedures for treatment field verification and approval. + Fabricate custom treatment devices according to proper procedures. + Educate patients about radiation therapy treatment procedures. + Set up and accurately deliver patient treatments based on prescriptions and treatment plans. + Operate linear accelerators, simulators, CT, and other related equipment safely and effectively.What qualifications you will need: + Graduation from a school accredited in radiation therapy instruction. An Associate of Science (AS) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree is also acceptable. + Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy (RT[T]). + One year of experience as a Radiation Therapist is preferred. + Ability to work Monday-Friday, as needed.
