Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate preparation and dispensing of medications, while providing exceptional support and advice to healthcare staff and patients.

Responsibilities

Review prescriptions issued by physicians or other authorized prescribers to ensure accuracy and determine necessary formulas and ingredients.Compound sterile and non-sterile medications using standard formulas and processes, such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.Direct other pharmacy employees in mixing, packaging, labeling, and updating prescription orders.Ensure the accuracy intake of prescription orders and the efficient fulfillment of orders.Dispense medications and support/counsel nursing facility staff on the use of prescription and over-the-counter medications.Advise physicians about medication therapy.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or school of pharmacy.Valid Pharmacy License in the State of Florida.Strong attention to detail.Experience in a retail environment, preferably high volume.Strong interpersonal skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Leadership abilities to coordinate multiple associates and provide direction.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or other Windows-based software programs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Long-term or closed-door pharmacy experience as a Pharmacist is preferred but not required.Must be able to stand for the entire work period.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a 40-hour work week, with potential for overtime. The schedule is from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Sunday to Thursday, with 2 weeks of training on the first shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The role requires working in a high-volume retail environment and involves standing for long periods.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Oviedo, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $61.00 - $63.00/hr.
