Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
Adheres to departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance and technical functionsParticipates in team huddles and acts as a contributing team member with new ideas and positive, constructive feedback to improve workflowsProfessionally interacts within the department and across the health system to resolve needs via electronic, phone, or in person communicationActively seeks opportunities to continuously improve service levels and relationships with customer and departmental leadersMaintains quality and integrity of suppliesKeep the area where the work takes place (Gemba) clean, clutter free and organized dailyFacilitates proper inventory management by using FIFO methodology (first in, first out)Work with computer systems and applications to perform daily dutiesPerform regular cycle counts at the direction of the assigned areas ManagerComply with AORN and Joint Commission standards on handling of supplies in sterile environmentsResponsible for daily support and management of fulfilling pick ticket ordersEnsures product returns are performed accurately and efficientlyPerform inventory picks via mobile device using established departmental standards to ensure accuracy and efficiencyParticipates annually in the fiscal year-end inventory in addition to the preparation process of organization and inventory level reviewManages, builds, and deploys code carts, totes, boxes, and trays as neededAdheres to Organizational Improvement principles according to health system standardsMust be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.These statements are intended to describe the essential functions of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.
