Chaplains provide spiritual care to patients, families and caregivers, fostering spiritual resources for healing. Spiritual care is a component of healing, so meeting others where they are and helping them during troubled waters is a vital part of a Chaplain's role. **A caregiver in this position works a variable schedule approximately 24 hours per week from 8:00AM - 4:30PM.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Provide education and consultation for physicians, nurses, and other caregivers. + Provide spiritual care and counseling for patients, families and caregivers of all faith groups, ages and conditions. + Foster spiritual resources for healing. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Completion of at least four units of Clinical Pastoral Education + One year of ministry experience + Bachelor's degree, three years of ministry experience, satisfactory completion of one or two units of Clinical Pastoral Education and the expectation to get four CPEs within two years of hire may substitute the education and/or experience requirements + Certification as an Association of Clinical Pastor Education (ACPE educator) or eligibility within two years Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Master's degree of Divinity or equivalent Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
