Position Summary / Career Interest:Organizes patient flow and provides patient care. Performs various clinical responsibilities. Responsible for setting up instruments and equipment. Adheres to infection control procedures.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

Organize patient flow by making pre-visit preparations, room patients, conduct intake and screenings, medication reconciliation, check vital signs, update forms in charts, perform required tests, perform standing orders, monitor preventative care alerts.Assess patient goals and barriers to care.Provide personalized educational resources and recommend community resources.Ensure patient is ready for the physician exam.Ensure all patient care areas are cleaned and stocked as needed.Return patient calls; inform patients of test results; call in prescriptions, obtain medication authorizations as appropriate, assist patients with lab charges/coding errors.Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.These statements are intended to describe the essential functions of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. Preferred Education and Experience

2 or more years physician office experience

Required Licensure and Certification

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
