A private family in Rancho Cucamonga seeks a credentialed teacher to provide individualized homeschool instruction for a 7-year-old student entering 3rd grade. The student is academically advanced and benefits from creative, flexible instruction and consistent behavior supports. The ideal teacher will balance academic enrichment with social-emotional support, collaborate with service providers, and establish a structured, positive learning environment.

Job Description / Essential Elements:    Print    Responsibilities  Teach reading, writing, math, and core subjects with appropriate challenge and support  Use engaging, play-based, and multisensory strategies to sustain motivation and learning  Implement evidence-based behavior supports and strategies within academic instruction  Support executive functioning, self-regulation, and smooth transitions  Maintain structured routines and proactive classroom management approaches  Collaborate with family and providers (ABA, OT, advocate) Requirements  Valid California Teaching Credential (Education Specialist preferred)  Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Elementary Education, or related field (Master’s preferred)  Minimum 3 years of teaching experience or equivalent relevant experience  Experience supporting neurodivergent learners (ASD, ADHD, and related profiles)  Skilled in utilizing behavior supports and strategies within a learning environment  Ability to adapt curriculum for advanced learners while fostering social-emotional growth  Must reside in, or be willing to commute to, San Bernardino County for in-person instruction  Strong collaboration and communication skills  Patient, warm, and relationship-focused teaching style  Provide regular communication and documentation of progress
