Job Title: Prepress ProoferJob Description
A Prepress Proofer ensures that the formatting, text, and color of print materials are correct before the printing process begins. This role involves reviewing and correcting format and layout, setting up printing press equipment, and performing maintenance on printing presses.
Responsibilities
+ Review and correct format and layout of print materials.
+ Set up printing press equipment for production.
+ Perform maintenance on printing presses.
+ Ensure compliance with production schedule requirements.
+ Provide excellent service to both internal and external clients.
+ Adapt to flexible work hours to meet client demands.
Essential Skills
+ Strong experience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, PhotoShop, Acrobat.
+ Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel).
+ Extreme attention to detail.
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ Ability to learn quickly and be tech-savvy.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in printing is ideal.
+ Press knowledge preferred.
+ Experience with Epson, Oris, Fiery is beneficial.
+ Prepress experience with Kodak and InSite is a plus.
Work Environment
The role offers a hybrid work environment, combining office work with time spent on the printing floor. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with some overtime required. Shifts range from 8 to 10 hours.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesquite, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
